Isa Lambie was my nana. She was such a great lady who lived for her family. She loved each and everyone of us and was such an inspiration to all who were blessed to know and love her.
She worked since she was a young girl, in service for wealthier people in Glasgow, worked in the bleach fields in larkhall for many years, had a shop in larkhall called, Mrs Hamiltons ladies fashions, became caretaker of the cameronian hall in larkhall and ran my dad, Alex's bed and breakfast for many years until she retired. Although in her retirement she brought me up as I lived with her until I got married and had a family of my own.
She loved to see her family all together and we would all sit down together to celebrate many special occasions.
Nana fell ill and ended up in Stonehouse hospital where she neared death but bounced back and then went in to Ballentine house nursing home in Ashgill where she sadly passed away with us at her bedside on the morning of 17th december 2003.
Our hearts were broken. She was 83 when she died but to us she was always so alive, vibrant and full of beans enjoying 6 nights a week at Larkhall bingo hall until she couldnt walk anymore.
My Dad worshiped her as we all did. Words cannot describe how we all felt the day she died. Our world had a hole left that no one could ever fill. She was heaven sent and I will never forget my wee nana.

5th anniversary
Hi Nana,
Well 5 years ago this morning you passed away.
Still feels like yesterday to me. I will never ever forget what it meant to lose you that morning. I couldnt stop looking at Dad. He was heart broken but now he is with you up there.
We all love and miss you so very much. 5 years has gone so fast. I will always remember you Nana with love and adoration. You done so much for me, so much for us all.
So today I will say a wee prayer for you along with the children. Keep shining Nana and rest in peace.
